About Me
Hey, I'm Squadaloo. I technically started making custom tracks for Mario Kart Wii in 2010 under my original username of MrX8991 although my only release from that time period was GBA Mario Circuit. However, I ran into numerous issues with the tools available back then and ended up not making much. Fast forward to 2021 and I decided to give it another shot now that the tools have improved. Honestly, I always wanted to instead work on Mario Kart 8 as it's my favorite in the series by far so with track studio's creation, I was instantly ready to make the leap over. I'm mostly out to make tracks that more match Nintendo's design philosophy (2-3 minutes long, nothing too crazy).
In addition to custom tracks, I've been experimenting a lot with Dolphin VR and have been doing most of my recent playing of Mario Kart Wii in virtual reality using an Oculus Rift. I have a tendency to get really into a community for a few months then drop out entirely for a long time so don't be surprised if I suddenly go quiet.
Updating My Custom Content
Please do not update any of my content here without my permission UNLESS the update ONLY consists of a fix to a crash. In such a case, please include my original readme in your updated version (you don't have to edit it, I'll do it on the next release).
