Overview
"The Void" is a track...that isn't. Mario Kart 8 hackers MrBean35000vr and Chadderz discovered this while searching through the game.
The void occurs because the track attempts to load a backdrop, but none are loaded so it creates an endless "void" that stains the last frame onto the screen.
The course is a small rectangle, and has a quick respawn, that makes the character look like he/she was "ported" back to the center.
It was later ported to Rainbow Road by MrRean.
