DS Cheep Cheep Beach was chosen as the slot because it was also a beach track. There is no other reason, it should function in other slots just fine. The track itself was made with 8 Deluxe in mind, however it does have a Wii U version but it's still on 1.0 and hasn't been updated to 1.1. The only place I have uploaded the Wii U version on is gamebanana, which includes the switch 1.0 version.
